Since December 2014, total statewide wage and salary employment has\u00c2\u00a0actually declined\u00c2\u00a0in Alaska, Louisiana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and Wyoming. Texas managed to add\u00c2\u00a0jobs in the period, but growth has slowed to a crawl relative to the 3%+ annual pace it enjoyed in late 2014.\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.regiontrack.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/potw_1_20150709.png\"><br \/>\n<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.regiontrack.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/potw_1_20150812.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5908\" src=\"https:\/\/www.regiontrack.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/potw_1_20150812.jpg\" alt=\"potw_1_20150812\" width=\"600\" height=\"558\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.regiontrack.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/potw_1_20150812.jpg 749w, https:\/\/www.regiontrack.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/potw_1_20150812-300x279.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.regiontrack.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/potw_1_20150812-200x186.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.regiontrack.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/potw_1_20150812-400x372.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.regiontrack.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/potw_1_20150812-600x558.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>No clear signs of spillover from the collapse in oil prices are visible in the\u00c2\u00a0second tier of energy-producing states,\u00c2\u00a0which includes\u00c2\u00a0Colorado, Kansas, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, and West Virginia.
