Forecast Summary: Lawton fared well in the recent recession but slumped severely in 2011 & 2012 under Federal spending cuts. Recovery began in early 2013, and further moderate growth is expected in 2014. The rebound has been led by strong growth in the private services sectors, but weakness remains in overall government-related hiring.
